- Circa 2006 - Well first off, I am an addict and I admit I am powerless over it and it has made my life unmanageable. So much so that I now have confirmation that my wife is going to divorce me. I believe that less than .01% of the world's (human) population is mentally healthy and this mental health comes about only by pure sheer accident. We're all fucked up it is just a matter of to what degree. As an engineer, I am still wondering when I get to drive the train.

Why did you put this picture up here?
This is the "Quacker" church. It is really a house that was converted into a church. This has become my favorite meeting. The group is kind of like my family. It is a real wonderful family, a family I never had. I have a good friend David. The meeting is headed by a guy that seems to be taking this stuff to heart (I hope) (He just got out of prison) It is really neat to see those guys turn around.
Thank you for asking. These meetings I go to - the 12 step meetings have started to become very special to me.
I'm glad you have found a special place. And that you are creating healthy bonds with these people. It does feel good to have a "family" that cares and is understanding but yet calls you out when they see you are headed down the wrong path again.
